This scholarship aims to provide financial assistance to 10 industry professionals to attend the annual APP conference in Las Vegas, NV including lodging, a food stipend and a community building activity.

Funding Overview:

Full conference pass + closing party $550 x 10 = $5,500
5 rooms (2 scholars per room) @ $1,000 week = $5,000
$300 Travel Stipend x 10 = $3,000
$100 Food Stipend x 10 = $1,000
Group Activity food cost = $600+

Are you an industry professional in need of financial assistance to attend the APP Conference & Expo in Las Vegas? This event is the largest US based learning event that includes a week of learning, networking and building community with our domestic and international peers.

Eligibility:
✨ You must be 21+
✨ You must be a person of color
✨ This must be your 1st conference (If you have only attended one conference, that was not this previous year, you may apply)
✨ You must be working as a counter specialist, piercer or be an apprentice who is currently employed in a studio.
✨ You must provide 2 letters of recommendations from other professionals in the piercing industry (Shop owners, piercers, mentors, former co-workers)
✨ You must register & participate in the Mentor Program
✨ You must make your own travel arrangements to & from the conference. You will receive partial flight assistance
✨ English doesn't have to be your first language, but you must be able to read, speak & understand English to attend classes. Your application MUST be submitted in English to be considered
✨ International Applicants: You must provide confirmation that you have a VISA or other necessary traveling documents along with your application OR be able to obtain a VISA within 30 days of the event. If you will have a problem doing this please contact us at POCscholarship@gmail.com.
